Disable WordPress Fatal Error Handler

Since WordPress 5.2, a new feature was added that prevents the WSoD (White Screen of Death) from appearing, however you may need to disable the fatal error handler in some circumstances. Should you find yourself in this situation you will likely see a message that reads:

There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

In your admin email inbox you will receive a message with the error:

However if you don’t have a working mail server or want to disable this functionality to speed up debugging you can copy this code into your wp-config.php file:
